You may also want to offer a summary of the main points to be made in the essay.Also, it is best to use short sentences throughout the entire essay, especially when writing an introduction paragraph. A statement of facts will work fine, but if the essay is going to be entertaining, the brief sentences will be better. Besides, some people find long statements boring.Be sure to include enough information in the introduction paragraph that the reader can easily grasp the main points of the essay. Be sure to not offer too much, as this can also turn off readers. Instead, choose the amount of information you need to give and explain it in your conclusion. Try to write a well-written introduction paragraph tha t will motivate readers to continue reading the rest of the essay.
